Being proactive requires a belief in a plan or strategy. It also calls for creativity and thoughtfulness, and the courage and fortitude to move forward. Most importantly, proactive people show determination and persistence.
Reactive behavior, on the other hand, is counterproductive and drains resources, energy and desire.
Anticipating situations and taking action in advance can be a lonely and difficult path. But those who go out and make things happen will be the ones who accomplish the most for their communities, their businesses and themselves.
One of my favorite things is hearing other people’s stories. I’m fascinated by other's journeys and what I can learn from them. So, what’s your story? Are you a rising manager or a serial entrepreneur? Are their particular challenges you’re dealing with, or lessons learned that others could relate? I invite you to engage and contribute to help others further their careers.
